Jörðgarð Map of the Week #359 - Snowdrift Fortress Garrison Upper Floor

Map of the Week No. 359 is from the forthcoming Jörðgarð Trails adventure "A Tale of 2 Books." This week we remain in the Snowdrift Fortress ruin where the powerful red draug (undead) wizardess Kolbjörg once dwelled and still may do so. This week's focus is upon the upper floor of the former garrison, now the lair of the orcs in the fortress.

Key to the Floor Plan

  1. Stairway from the Ground Floor.

2 – Old Rotting Boards and the Like. Nothing of value.

3 – Oil Painting. A picture of young, dark-haired woman in a dim setting. This is a painting of Kolbjörg when she still was alive and young.

4-5 – Old Bones and a Book. The bones and the dried blood are from human members of a previous Northern Circle expedition who were slain by Kolbjörg's traps. The book is bound in leather with threads in the binding to hold it closed. It is not the Svartbók. It'd merely a journal of a long-dead former commander of the fortress. if the PCs try to read it, the pages of parchment will fall apart.

The graphic above is reduced in size. You can get the full-sized floor plan in two versions:

  1. The Fractal Mapper (TM) 8 version in FMP format (4.7 MB) from the Jörðgarð website.

  2. As a JPG flat map of 1360 x 865 Pixels (430 KB), available from the NBOS website at:

nbos.com/nox/download.php?id=867.

Both versions are released for personal and commercial use under the Open Game License Version 1.0a, which you can read on the Jörðgarð website at:
