Jörðgarð Map of the Week #287 - Dragon Encounter
The 287th Map of the Week is the last in the dragon þurí's lair. The battlemap is from the second Jörðgarð (TM) Trails adventure on the Fallen Empire Trail, "Draug Hunters." This week's map shows the cave where þurí lairs.
þurí's lair is 25 feet/7.5 meters deep in treasure … items and coins of gold and silver and many other items of great value. Like Tolkien's Smaug, she can swim through her treasure and does so at times for pure pleasure. When the PCs first enter her cave, þurí will be partly covered by treasure. If the PCs enter her lair – escorted or not – þurí at first will be much more interested in learning who they are, why they are there and what they want rather than in roasting or devouring them. That doubtless will come later.
