Suggestion - Link to external files
I'm building Traveller 2300's Near Space List for Astrosynthesis with all the stars in their real rather than their apparent positions. I had started off with merging the T2300 NSL with a Hipparcos datalist I have and then fill in every star there's a record for - not just the 800 or so that are the NSL - but that was like 118,000 records and that was just too cumbersome.
Anyway, I have all the stars mapped and I'm creating each of the systems according to T2300's Colonial Atlas. I've been entering the info on each world into the "Notes" tab of each world's properties, but some of the narrative is lengthy.
So, I'm wondering if a future update might have the ability to hotlink to other files added. Maybe to Word files, PDFs, Excel files, whatever.
'Course, this may get into uncomfortable entanglements with Microsoft, but I don't know for sure.
Anyway, it'd be nice to have perhaps a summary in the "Notes" tab, but with a hotlink to a more detailed narrative.
