Jörðgarð Map No. 472 is from the newly-released Jörðgarð Trails adventure "A Tale of 2 Books." The PCs' journey through the vampire-ruled North Kingdom nears its end as they reach Darkhall, the castle of the former dark draug (undead) Thingúl. Here the PCs hope to find the evil ice key that they are seeking. The battlemap shows the ground floor of Darkhall.
 The main entry hall.
The top of the stairway to the second story. When the PCs look upward, they can see that this area is open except for a wooden landing with railing around the opening.
Entryway to the northwest tower. There are three shuttered windows in the north wall and two empty weapon racks along the wall. The west wall is curved with a massive wooden door about 6 feet/180 cm wide in it. There are unlit candles on the south wall.
The doorway opens into a tower with an inner diameter of about 20 feet/6 meters. A stairway leads to an upper floor. There are five shuttered windows in the 3-foot/90-cm thick walls. The shutters all are closed. Just inside the door is a charred area on the floor.
Entryway to the northeast tower. A stairway leads to an upper floor. There are three shuttered windows in the north wall and two empty weapon racks along the wall. The east wall is curved with a massive wooden door about 6 feet/180 cm wide in it. There are unlit candles on the south wall.
The doorway opens into a tower with an inner diameter of about 20 feet/6 meters. There are five shuttered windows in the 3-foot/90-cm thick walls.
The doorway opens into what appears to have been a kitchen. Two candle chandeliers hang from the ceiling. There are three shuttered windows in the west wall. A double door is in the south wall. A large, charred area can be seen on the floor in front of this door. Two cabinets with dishes, pots, pans, utensils and the like are on the south wall to either side of the double door. Two wooden worktables are beneath the chandelier to the west. Toward the north wall are a rusted cooking stove, a wash basin made of copper, a well and a wood-burning stove. To the west side is a wooden stairway door to the cellar (Location No. 8).
Wooden cellar door in the kitchen floor. The cellar is as large as the castle's footprint and has no rooms. The wooden ceiling is supported by cross beams and wooden pillars that measure 1 foot/30 cm on the sides. The ceiling is 10 feet/3 meters above the dirt floor. There is nothing in this cellar except old, empty wooden creates and barrels.
The doorway opens into what appears to have been a dining and conference room. Two candle chandeliers hang from the ceiling. There are three shuttered windows in the west wall, two in the east wall and one in the south wall. The only additional door is in a tower wall. The room has three wooden tables with eight chairs each. To the left of them is a lectern and an empty, round, wooden table.
The doorway opens into a small tower with stone walls about 20 inches/50 cm thick. The wooden floor area is about 13 feet/4 meters in diameter. There are five closed shutters in the walls and an unlit candle in a holder on the north wall.
The doorway opens onto a room of uncertain usage. It appears to have been a clerk's room or an administrative room. Three candle chandeliers hang from the ceiling. There are three small ta-bles, each with a wooden chair, two empty bookcases in the northeast corner, a round table with four chairs and a wood-burning stove. As you open the door, you see a large, charred spot on the floor just inside the door. There are three shuttered windows in the east wall. A large double door is in the south wall.
The doorway opens onto a room that contains almost nothing, only a candle in a holder on the north wall and the door to a tower in the southeast corner. Almost the entire floor is black and charred. There are three closed shutters in the east wall, two in the west wall and one in the south wall.
The doorway opens into a small tower with stone walls about 20 inches/50 cm thick. The wooden floor area is about 13 feet/4 meters in diameter. There are five closed shutters in the walls and an unlit candle in a holder on the north wall.
