Mass edit
I am trying to change "Label body when within:" for every system in the sector (sector has 786 systems). Under actions there is a mass edit for "Label display distances" but when I input the number change I notice no change in the sector. Is there something I am missing such as I have to first select the systems I want to change, if so how, thanks

That only changes the selected body. If you want to do all of them, go to advanced search and search on "root only". Then hit the select all button at the bottom of the search. That has a limit of 1000 systems, but you only have 786 so you should be able to get them all. Once they are all selected, use mass edit -> label display distance to change the value for all of them.
