Subsector filter limits?

In the filter menu I can't seem to get all of my subsectors to be represented. Is there an upper limit to how many subsectors will show up in the filter menu? Does a subsector need to have an object in it to count for filtering?

Yes, there's a limit to what can be displayed in the menu. If you have more than that, you can use the Edit Subsectors window to mark which ones are visible.
