Merge or group tool

Hi there..

I have downloaded FM8 from RPGNow and am amazed about the coolness of this tool. However, the feature I miss the most is a permanent grouping or merging function. I am aware of the Action / Merge Lines command, however this only seems to be unpermanent. Once I click somewhere else, only the single lines are selectable.

Anything like a group or merge function as in Photoshop? Thanks in advance

    I know only approximately what you're trying to do, so this might not be the right solution. However, I think this might bring you to your goal:

    1) Mark all of the objects to be merged or grouped.

    2) Click the menu option Object

    3) Click the dropdown menu option Group

    If you want to dissolve the grouping later:

    1) Mark the group

    2) Click the menu option Object

    3) Click the dropdown menu option Ungroup

    thanks for your quick reply. By the way - although I didn't make it through the whole tutorial yet - I really love your eBook on raster mapping with Fractal Mapper 8. This is my mapping bible :)

    Glad you like it! With the FM8 CSUAC available again, it's even completely useable once more.
