dumb documentation question

I purchased fractal mapper and downloaded SM lite.

I see the built-in help link, but I was curious where the other, if any, docs are located ?

FM8 ships with a tutorial, the link is in the start menu. There's also PDF versions of the FM docs here:

Thanks. I've downloaded both.

I see the Help menu item in FM.

SM Lite 1.5d, the F1 help contents doesn't load for me.

I looked on my hard drive, no docs came with the 2 programs in their original folders.

FM8 ships with:

Mapper8.chm (the main help file)
FM8Tutorial.chm (the tutorial)

and SM lite ships with:

ScreenMonkey.chm (the main help file)
SMTroubleShooting.chm (a help file that explains router config)

The links to these files are in the Start Menu group for the programs.

I found the chm files, but F1 doesn't load them in SM Lite 1.5d. I can double click on them.

Selecting Help -> Contents in FM loads the help file.

I'm not used to chm files being on my Vista cmoputer.
