If you are having a problem with false positives from your anti-virus software relating to the NBOSUpdater.exe that is shipped with Astro 3, make sure you are running the latest Astro update. If the AutoUpdater isn't working because of a false positive, a manual updater can be downloaded here:

First off - very impressed by AstroSynthesis demo I was so impressed, in fact, that I just purchased and downloaded the "Sci-Fi Gamer's Bundle" from DriveThroughRPG.com, which includes AstroSynthesis v3.0 and Fractal Mapper v8.0... And the downloaded exe (Astrosynthesis_v30.exe) is apparently contaminated with a trojan (http://www.cloudantivirus.com/en/threat ... .A/195131/) - according to my antivirus, which I trust on these things! I've contacted their support, but I was wondering whether you've heard about this sort of thing from anything else. I'm not ruling out the possibility that it might be a false positive.
Have you encountered this sort of thing before?
Regardless, absolutely all the best and thank you for your work on this!
What has likely happened is some peice of malware used the same networking library or some other component that we use in the updater. The anti-virus companies then just blanketly flag any executable that uses said library, malware or not. Especially if its from a small 'unrecognized' company. This is an issue many small software vendors face.
