Astro 3 Sector Date and Time

Just an Astro 3.0 update since I know a number of people have requested this in the past: Astro 3 will support a sector-wide date and time. Orbital positions will display the actual sector date, rather than a generic time offset. This is also integrated into the new travel calculator which can now tell you an arrival date in addition to a travel time, and advance the sector time to reflect time spent travelling. You can also set the date/time manually, and add/subtract time from the current date. Astro uses a standard Gregorian calendar, with a year range of -400,000,000 to 400,000,000. You can specify a date format string (much like in The Keep) to alter how the date is displayed.

  • Awesome, I would have been happy if it saved the date, but this is way better... time travel situations could even be calculated this way. Good news!
